Despite its proximity to major cities such as Ottawa and Montreal, the Origine Aventure site is remote enough to be home to untouched wilderness. Covering nearly 100 acres, it is bordered to the north by a vast territory belonging to the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts, which includes the magnificent Lac en Cœur, a 4 km long lake with crystal clear water. It is from this lake that the Rivière Saint-Sixte flows, winding its way through a small sandy valley that crosses the site, carved out by a glacier millions of years ago.
Opposite this low point are two mountains with peaks reaching 426 m and 461 m in altitude. This impressive topography can be explained by the fact that the site is located at the southern tip of a very old mountain range called the Montagnes Noires. With its many plateaus, viewpoints, cliffs, and streams, this place will never cease to amaze you.
Adding to the scenery, large mature trees stand peacefully, so it’s no surprise that many animals in the region have chosen it as their home. And now, it’s your chance to enjoy it too!
Our mission is to create a site that encourages contact with nature, combining comfort, the outdoors, and discovery. Our unique accommodations, carefully integrated into their surroundings, are designed to be perfect oases where guests can relax after a day filled with activities or relaxation. A stay at the site is intended to be an immersive experience where time seems to slow down, allowing visitors to adjust to the rhythm of their surroundings. The project also plans to offer common areas (to come in later phases) and to encourage creativity, sharing, and human contact. This is also achieved by encouraging local businesses to create relationships, exchange ideas, and coexist in an eco-responsible manner.
Our vision is as follows: getting closer to nature also allows us to get closer to the people around us and, ultimately, to ourselves.
Ready for adventure?
We are three entrepreneurs who adore adventure, nature, and architecture. After spending a long time exploring the forests, mountains, and lakes across Quebec, we felt the need to create a unique site based on our vision and interests, so that others could enjoy it too.
